Forum Network creates new series of talks in celebration of Halloween on Sunday, October 31st.
Boston, MA – The PBS|NPR Forum Network has recently added a new series of curated talks around Halloween and Historical Events. The Talking Heads series is home to some of the Forum Network’s best public talks, lectures and stories about ghosts, witches, villains, scandal and mayhem.
Join Actresses Dee Wallace, Kristina Klebe, Danielle Harris, Scout Taylor, and Eileen Deitz discussing the filming process of Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies and why they won’t scream on command. Listen as the legendary Director George A. Romero discusses how he came to creating the film Night Of The Living Dead and why he thinks his “zombies” aren’t really zombies. Hear Director and Horror Novel Writer Guillermo del Toro discuss The Fall, the 2nd installment I the Strain Trilogy, a series about vampires taking over New York City.
Other notable discussions within the series cover historic events around the Salem Witch Trials, The Boston Strangler, the murder trial of Lizzie Borden, and what mummies tell us. The Man Who Wrote Frankenstein, a podcast included in the series, exposes us to the real author of Frankenstein, and how Mary Shelley became the noted author.
The story of a young girl who is left to trick-or-treat on her own. A small detour takes her on a strange and imaginative adventure with a new companion.

A panel of industry judges have narrowed down the finalists for online voting in the “Halloween Horror Nights-Rob Zombie Film Competition http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/hollywood !”
The film competition offered filmmakers an opportunity to submit their scariest short film to be judged by a panel led by the multi-media horror auteur. In addition to the prizes, including $1000 cash, a trip for two to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, and the broadcast of the film, the winning filmmaker will be honored in front of celebrities, studio executives and media at the Eyegore Awards ceremony, which will kick off the 2010 Halloween Horror Nights http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/hollywood/ event at Universal Studios Hollywood http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/ .
