With some basic sewing skills you can transform some old clothes you aren’t wearing anymore into a super ruffled, super stylish witch costume. And what witch would be complete without her hat? Using some wire, interfacing and scrap fabric you can make a custom hat to your own bewitching specifications.

Alligator Prop that I mentioned a few days ago, a house full of haunted portraits are top on my list of Halloween props to get when I’m rich. Unlike the alligator, lenticular portraits don’t go for obvious shock, but instead create an eerie mood. Guests in your haunted home will have time to look at the pictures from a distance and perhaps shiver a bit when they realize they are surrounded by creepy old paintings. As they begin to approach, a distinct change occurs within the frame, and the eerie mood culminates with a shock as your visitors realise there is more to the portrait than they first assumed. If you’ve ever been searching for costumes online you’ve most likely come across BuyCostumes before. Being big fans of zombies in general I went searching for some new releases from BuyCostumes. I was pleasantly surprised to find more zombie costumes new for 2006.

Hospitals are a likely place for a zombie outbreak to begin so it is fitting I start with a Zombie Doctor costume. This particular one looks like a good all inclusive costume. With full doctor outfit and rotting parts showing through in the right places, this costume will make dressing up easy this Halloween.
